Keeping up with New Years Resolutions

I am sure by the title of this blog, you're thinking - "Becca, it's almost June and you're telling us about New Years Resolutions?" I know, I know... hang on! This is obviously my very first post, so that is why I am so late in talking about it! I've been reading so many blogs lately, that I think it is safe to say I might be addicted to reading blogs. I can only hope that someone likes mine as much as I like everyone elses. I am not married, so I can't tell you how wonderful my marriage is going. I don't have kids - so I can't tell the cute little stories and give updates on their growth - however, I have been told that I am pretty funny. With that, I would like to think that someone leaves my blog laughing, or atleast smiling.

January 1st, I made a few New Years Resolutions - as I do every year. The difference being, this year I am actually attempting to keep the resolutions! It's a first time for everything, right?! Some sample resolutions on my list this year:

*Travel more, see the sights, and go as many places as possible. Whether it's on plane, train or automobile - I want to see more. I've made a list of places both within the United States, and Internationally that I want to see. Obviously, this list is LONG! So - it will not all be completed in 2009. This as turned into a list to complete through a lifetime.
*Learn to cook more things. Healthy, unhealthy, sweet or salty - I don't care! The world is my oyster.
*Collect more sweet wines for my collection - but from the new places I go to. Anyone could go to the grocery and buy a bottle, but I want to visit more vineyards and wine taste more. I've always been a fan of vineyards (both for taking pictures and for wine tasting!), so visiting more should not be a problem for this girl!
*Get back into taking pictures! I used to be sooo good at photography - but through the hustle and bustle of life, I really haven't had the opportunity to keep up with it. I want to take more roadtrips to better my eye and catch fabulous shots. I have a great teacher who knows everything and anything about photography, and she's pretty much the best photo-buddy in the world! Whether she's ready for it or not, she'd better clear her weekend calendars every now and then for the adventures of getting lost and taking pictures!
*End of the day: the biggest resolution is to have more fun! I love my red chair dearly, but - I have to have my limits! :)

Like every other person, I also have the "Lose Weight" resolution. This is the resolution that keeps on the list every year and you don't enjoy experiencing it and you certainly don't look forward to it. But - we'll keep it on there for now because it is an important one! Again, hand in hand with dieting/losing weight - go to the gym more often. BLAHH! Wouldn't you rather, like me, go to the mall and finding a new pair of shoes at Macys?

Ultimately - the biggest resolution is happiness. All of these things above equal into a very Happy Becca. I want to have fun, and not miss a moment of life. This is the time of my life where it is perfect for creating memories, seeing the world, and doing whatever the heck I want to do!

It's almost June - and I've done a few things that have been an absolute blast and that are brand new. Though let's be honest, for any of you who know Ohio Winters - you hibernate. Now that Spring is here, the weather is nice - here comes the fun! I'll keep you posted on my fun, if you keep me posted on where I can find the world's most amazing cupcake. I think I found them in Hudson, Ohio ... but I want to give every cupcake a shot!
